Do you want to give add-on options to your customers? Bundle products in Magento 2 are quite similar to Grouped products. The only difference is that your customers can choose what items they want to include in your Bundle product.
Imagine you sell computers. You want your customers to be able to choose how much RAM, hard drive space and processor they want for their computer. Magento 2 allows you create Grouped products with ease. The final price of the bundle product gets updated depending on the items selected.
In this tutorial, we’ll guide you through the step-by-step process of creating bundle products in Magento 2.
Creating Bundle Products in Magento 2
Step 1: Go to Products => Catalog (under Inventory)
Step 2: Select Bundle Product from the Add Product drop-down list.
You’ll be displayed a New Product page. All the sections of this page are similar to when adding a simple product except for the Bundle Items section.
You can choose whether you want to ship the items of your grouped product “Together” or “Separately” using the Ship Bundle Items setting.
Step 3: Click on the Add Option button. A new section will appear.
Fill in the following details:
- Option Title: Type in the option title here.
- Input Type: Choose whether you want the customer to select products in the option from a:
- Radio Buttons
- Multiple Select
- Required: Set whether you want this option to be mandatory or not.
Step 4: Click on Add Products to Option button to add products to the option.
Select the products you want to add to this option and click on Add Selected Products button.
Step 5: Set default values for the products in your option.
- Is Default round button: You can set which product is displayed in the option by default.
- Default Quantity: Set what is the default quantity which will be added to the bundle product.
- User Defined: Check this box if you want the user to select how many product options they want to buy.
Follow Steps 3-4-5 to add more options to your new bundle product.
Step 6: Fill in the remaining product details on the New Product page.

Notice that the price, quantity and weight attributes of the bundle product are set to dynamic settings. So that when a user customizes the product, a dynamic value can be generated for these attributes.
Step 7: Click on the Save button to save your new bundle product.
Your new bundle product is now visible on the storefront.
Your customer can now customize the bundle product and add it to cart.
