How to install and configure HumCommerce Magento 2 extension

To install and configure HumCommerce extension, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Download the HumCommerce extension for Magento 2 website.

Step 2: Upload the “HumCommerce.zip” file from your computer to the server where Magento 2 is installed or the setup.

To upload the HumCommerce Magento 2 extension, you can use the FileZilla client.

  • FileZilla can be downloaded free of charge from http://www.filezilla-project.org.
  • Start FileZilla.
  • Click File on the top menu bar and select Site Manager.
  • Click the New Site.
  • In the Host field, enter in ftp.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name).
  • From the Logon Type drop-down menu, select Normal.
  • Enter your FTP username and password into the User and Password fields.
  • When ready, click Connect.

Once you’re connected to your server, the Local Site area will show the files and folders on your computer and the Remote Site area will show the files and folders on your server.

The HumCommerce.zip file needs to be uploaded in the app/code directory of Magento installation. (e.g your_Magento_root_directory/app/code)

The easiest way to copy a file to and from the server is to simply drag and drop them from one side to the other.

Step 3: Now login to your server by typing the following command in your terminal.

ssh [email protected]

For example – ssh [email protected]

Step 4: Go to your Magento 2 root directory by using the command “cd”.

cd directory _name

For example – cd /home/mike/public_html

Now, you are in Magento 2 root directory.

Step 5: Go to “app > code directory” by typing the following command.

cd app/code/

mkdir Humcommerce

cd Humcommerce

Now, you are in the code directory of Magento 2.

Step 6: Unzip the uploaded file by typing the following command.

unzip upoaded_file_name

For example – unzip HumCommerce.zip

The file has been extracted into a code directory of Magento 2.

Step 7: Go to Magento 2 root directory again by typing “cd ..” twice.

cd ..

cd ..  

Step 8: Type the following command in your terminal to enable the extension.

php bin/magento module:enable module_name

For example – php  bin/magento module:enable Humcommerce_HumCommerce

After this process, you’ll get the following message:

“The following modules have been enabled:

– Humcommerce_HumCommerce”

HumCommerce Magento 2 extension has been successfully installed and enabled.

Now, follow the below steps to configure HumCommerce extension.

Step 1: Login to Magento 2 Admin Panel.

Step 2: Go to Stores -> Configuration.

Step 3: Expand the Sales tab from the left sidebar and click on HumCommerce.

To configure HumCommerce plugin, you need website ID and token auth.

Follow the document to get the website ID and token auth.

Step 4: Once you filled required fields click on Save Config button.

You will be prompted to refresh invalidated cache types by a system pop-up message.

Step 5: Click on Cache Management in the prompt message.

Step 6: Click on Flush Magento Cache.

You’ll see the following message: “The Magento cache storage has been flushed

The HumCommerce Magento 2 extension configuration is now complete and tracking is active on your Magento 2 e-commerce website.
