How to install HumCommerce Magento 2 extension

To install HumCommerce extension, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Download the HumCommerce extension for tracking e-commerce activity in Magento 2. You can download it from the Downloads menu on the My Account page.

Step 2: Upload the “HumDashTracking-magento.zip” file from your computer to the server where Magento 2 is installed or setup.

To upload the HumCommerce Magento 2 extension, open the terminal and type in the following commands.

scp file_path [email protected] of server:server_destination_path

For example –

scp your_downloaded_path/HumDashTracking-magento.zip [email protected]:/your_Magento_root_directory/app/code

After this process completes, the terminal will display “100%”.


  1. your_downloaded_path” will depend on the path where you have downloaded the “HumDash_Extension.zip” file.
  2. mike” is the username in this example.

3. “your_Magento_root_directory” will depend upon your Magento 2 setup on the server.

Step 3: Now login to your server by typing the following command in your terminal.

ssh [email protected]

For example – ssh [email protected]

Step 4: Go to your Magento 2 root directory by using the command “cd”.

cd directory _name

For example – cd /home/mike/public_html

Now, you are in Magento 2 root directory.

Step 5: Go to “app > code directory” by typing the following command.

cd app/code/

Now, you are in code directory of Magento 2.

Step 6: Unzip the uploaded file by typing the following command.

unzip upoaded_file_name

For example – unzip HumDashTracking-magento.zip

The file has been extracted into code directory of Magento 2.

Step 7: Go to Magento 2 root directory again by typing “cd ..” twice.

cd ..

cd ..  

Step 8: Type the following command in your terminal to enable the extension.

php bin/magento module:enable module_name

For example – php  bin/magento module:enable Humcommerce_HumDash

After this process completes, you’ll get the following message:

“The following modules have been enabled:

– Humcommerce_HumDash”

HumCommerce Magento 2 extension has been successfully installed and enabled.

Now you can configure the HumCommerce Magento 2 extension from your admin panel.
